Falling in Love Effects Like Drug Addiction

Falling in love was not the literal heart problems, but is controlled by the same brain as drug addiction.
There are many similarities between drug use and falling in love, among others, equally able to make lovelorn. Falling in love and drug use were similarly addictive, because they can activate the same part of the brain. This was stated by the results of small studies from the State University of New York, USA.
According to researchers, the human brain is designed to compete in a pair. When able to get the desired pair, part of the brain that regulates pleasure or reward center will be more active than usual and sometimes the reaction can be overdone.
The study was conducted by observing the magnetic resonance images of the brain 10 women and seven men who claimed in love.
The range of their relationships ranged from one month to less than two years. Participants were shown photographs of their loved ones and photos of people who look like her.
The brain reacts to images of respondents and their love, and generating an emotional response in the brain similar to the motivation and reward. That is the same as a human drug addiction.
“You can feel happy when you falling in love, but can also be restless,” said Dr. Lucy Brown, a neurologist at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York who led the study, as quoted from Dailymail, Tuesday (02/14/2012) .
The brain is necessary for survival and to recognize when something feels good. This makes a good man driven to be around her partner. Even this impulse may be considered stronger than the urge for sex.
Sense of fun and restless when you’re falling in love is the response of the brain arising from a stimulus. The same reaction occurs when a person is under the influence of narcotics or drugs that affect brain.
“Love is an intense use the same system in the brain are activated when a person is addicted to drugs,” said study author, psychologist Arthur Aron.
