How We Started :

Body Shape started as Australia‘s first female only female fitness centre in 1984. The Body Shape - Female Fitness Centre was originally part of an old squash court building at Sans Souci in Sydney’s south and quickly became a friendly meeting place for women who were looking for a non-intimidating exercise environment.

Women would regularly meet at the female fitness centre, body shape exercise and discuss common interests. It was a community of like-minded women who greatly benefited from each other’s support not only with health issues but also everyday issues.

How We Developed :

In 1994 our Sans Souci centre was transformed into a modern facility, which has continued to evolve offering today a beautiful exercise environment with the latest technology. The atmosphere of a friendly meeting place for women to body shape exercise and have fun is a unique feature of the Sans Souci centre and has developed into the model of all our female fitness centres.

From 1998 onwards Body Shape expanded to include three additional female fitness centres and in 2005 started offering franchise opportunities. The emphasis being upon the latest technology in female fitness to help women lose weight, improve their overall health and shape whilst having fun.

Our Philosophy :

Our philosophy is straightforward. It is to motivate more women of all ages to regularly exercise by helping them feel better about themselves through improved health, wellbeing, physical strength and confidence in a beautiful stimulating exercise female fitness centre environment.

We achieve this by constant follow up, support and motivation to each member. When you join a Body Shape - Female Fitness Centres it is not like joining a big impersonal fitness chain. It’s very personal, friendly and fun. Our members become good friends with each other. They not only benefit from regular body shape exercise but also the support of like-minded women.

Our Staff :

Our staff thoroughly enjoy helping our members achieve their individual fitness goals. We receive enormous satisfaction every time another member says, “I cannot believe how my life has improved since I started exercising at Body Shape“.

Our personal body shape trainers are female fitness professionals who are dedicated to their careers. They strive everyday to help more women feel really happy about their health, female fitness fitness and body shape.
